Little Petra (also known as Siq al-Barid) is an archaeological site located just a short distance to the north of Petra in Jordan. Often considered a "mini-Petra," Little Petra shares many of the same architectural and cultural features as Petra, but it is smaller, less developed, and less crowded. It was likely used as a suburb or a rest stop for caravans traveling to and from Petra, playing an important role in the trade network of the ancient Nabatean Kingdom.
Al-Khazneh (Arabic for "The Treasury") is one of the most iconic and recognizable landmarks in the ancient city of Petra, Jordan. It is considered one of the most stunning and well-preserved structures of Petra and is often the first monument visitors encounter after walking through the Siq, the narrow gorge leading into the city.
The Royal Tombs of Petra are a collection of grand, monumental tombs carved into the rock faces of the ancient city. These tombs were likely the burial places of Nabatean kings and high-ranking elites, serving as impressive displays of wealth, power, and the importance of the afterlife in Nabatean culture. They are among the most notable features of Petra and are situated near the city's central area, not far from the Street of Facades and the famous Al-Khazneh (The Treasury).

Jour 2 : Exploration de Pétra et retour à Amman.
La deuxième journée commence par un petit-déjeuner à votre hébergement avant de retourner à Pétra pour plus d'exploration.
Vous marcherez jusqu'au monastère (Al-Deir), un monument spectaculaire plus grand que le Trésor, perché au-dessus du site.
La randonnée en vaut la peine, offrant des vues panoramiques sur les vallées et les montagnes environnantes.
Après avoir admiré le monastère, vous visiterez des lieux moins connus mais tout aussi fascinants, comme le Haut-Lieu du Sacrifice, où vous trouverez d'anciens autels et des vues imprenables. Parmi les autres sites, citons le Temple du Jardin et le Tombeau du Soldat, chacun ayant sa propre histoire à raconter.
Après un déjeuner tranquille et un peu de temps pour vous détendre, vous direz au revoir à Pétra et commencerez votre voyage de retour vers Amman, où la visite se termine par un retour à votre hôtel.
